How does the CBA Review Process Work?

Depending on your progress in the P.Eng. application process, you may choose to skip certain steps.

Submit Form & Initial Review (0.5 hrs)

In this step, we will assess your submission, resume, and engineering background for licensing alignment, identifying strengths, gaps, and strategy for advancement.

Competency Training Workshop (2.5 hrs)

Attend the PE-01: Competencies Mapping Workshop - covering depth and breadth of all 34/22 competencies. Llearn how to interpret unique requirements, and map your experience for a strong application.

Regulatory Writing Training Workshop (1.5 hrs)

Attend the PE-02 Essentials of Regulatory Writing workshop that focuses on the structure, tone, and language required for regulatory writing in P.Eng. applications. You’ll learn how to present your engineering experience clearly and effectively, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and meeting the expectations of Canadian engineering regulators.

1st Review (5,000 words)

Submit your written 34 or 22 experience competencies for the first review. This step includes a comprehensive evaluation with detailed feedback to ensure your experience is aligned with regulatory standards and ready for further refinement.

Personalized Targeted Consultation (2 hrs)

Available with premium consultation only, this step offers a two-hour One-to-One (1:1) personalized consultation to discuss feedback provided and strategize improvement.

Available with premium consultation only, this step will be the second and final review of your written competencies to ensure all written competencies are articulated up to the Canadian regulatory submission standards (Word limit: 5,000 words)

Usman is the Licensed Professional Engineer, P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario, with over 12 years of engineering and regulatory experience in various sectors such as Power and Energy Utilities and Municipalities, Railway and Transport, and Lean Manufacturing.

He attained his Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, specializing in Sustainable Energy. He is currently a member in good standing with Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO), Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC), and Standard's Council of Canada (SCC)
